The board approved an annual engagement letter with auditors Joan Simpkins and PMCH, with staff warning the final fee could be higher because the library’s approximately $1.7 million grant may trigger single-audit requirements.
Cameron Duff, the county administrator, said the engagement letter was routine but noted fees have “stayed up to exceed 70,500,” and staff now expect the final number may be closer to $75,500 if single-audit work is required. Commissioners voted to authorize the chair to sign the engagement letter and asked staff to return finalized documents for signature.
