The Sheridan County Commission authorized the county clerk to release funds necessary to complete payroll distributions for April 2026. Commissioners were told law-enforcement payroll is scheduled for April 3 and the airport payroll for April 30; the motion to authorize release of funds was moved and approved by voice vote.
County Clerk Adesha Thompson informed the board that clerks in the state will attend three full days of training the week of April 6 to learn hand-count audit procedures under a newly passed house bill. She asked the board to move the accounts-payable deadline for that week from Wednesday to Monday at 5:00 p.m. so staff can prepare packets before travel. Commissioners agreed to accommodate the scheduling change for that week.
