Sheridan County commissioners approved Amendment No. 3 to the SkyWest Airlines use‑and‑lease agreement for space at the Sheridan County Airport terminal.
Airport Manager Robert Gill summarized the amendment, saying the original agreement executed on 01/12/2020 and that the amendment extends the lease expiration and adjusts rental charges to account for inflation during the original term. "Amendment number 3 extends the lease expiration date by 8 additional feeders and provides additional time under the option periods as outlined in the amendment," Gill said in the presentation. The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment by voice vote.
Why it matters: the amendment preserves scheduled air‑carrier service at the airport and updates contract terms to better reflect costs incurred during the earlier term. The board did not schedule further public hearings on the amendment at the meeting.
