Commission approves submission of two historic-preservation grant applications for Kendrick Park pool

The Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission presented two CLG (Certified Local Government) grant nomination-completion applications for Kendrick Park pool structures and asked the county to approve submission of both applications.
"This is due at 5PM today," Christine Barra, treasurer of the Sheridan County Historic Preservation Commission, told the board. County staff confirmed the total was listed as $14,244.38 for each application; Barra said the city and the Downtown Sheridan Association are partners and that the county historically funds the preservation commission from a $10,000 annual allocation. Commissioners confirmed the county contribution of $2,500 per application would come from that budgeted line.
Commissioner (speaker 2) moved to approve submission of the two CLG applications; the motion was seconded, and the board voted in favor. A liaison to the preservation commission said he would support the effort and praised the commission's work.
