Commission allows county vehicles for public-health staff to attend trafficking-awareness training in Billings

Heidi Smith (speaker 9) described the CRIC conference as a human-trafficking awareness training for public-health staff and said travel and lodging can be reimbursed through a public-health infrastructure grant or a workforce grant, while meals will come from the agency's travel budget. "It is April 19 through the 22nd," she said. The board member (speaker 2) moved to approve the request to allow public-health staff to use a county vehicle for the trip; another commissioner seconded and the motion passed on a voice vote.
Commissioners requested that the motion be captured in the minutes as written authorization for insurance purposes. Staff said the written motion in the minutes constitutes the required authorization for out-of-state use of county vehicles.
