At the request of a commissioner, the Parks and Recreation Commission discussed moving the regular July 2 meeting because it falls the week of the Fourth of July. The chair proposed rescheduling to a special meeting later in July and offered the 9th or 16th as options; commissioners settled on July 16 after checking availability.
A motion to cancel the July 2 regular meeting and schedule a special meeting on July 16 was moved, seconded and approved. The clerk announced, "Motion carries unanimously. 5–0." The commission also directed staff to add the ad hoc committee appointment for recruitment input to the July 16 agenda.
