Murrieta senior center lays out expanded classes, health screenings and daily lunch program

"We're we're getting about, I'd say, about between 65 and 75 seniors on average for that lunch program," the senior center presenter said, reporting steady attendance. Staff also described no‑cost classes (embroidery, ukulele, chair exercise), a tech‑help table, expanded grief support to two sessions per month and partner programs such as Parkinson’s caregiver support and community group luncheons. Commissioners praised recent events and asked about outreach and veteran services at the center; staff identified a Vet Center contact (Mark Parker) who has assisted local veterans and said staff will coordinate additional dates as possible.
