County engineer reports on road projects, Murphy Pit gravel and flood cost-share

Gillespie reviewed progress on CSAH 15, Dumont, CSAH 9, the county park and a seal coat for Browns Valley South MCSAH 4, and distributed the department’s 2024 annual report and a draft 2026 budget outlook.
Gillespie also told the Board that the 2025 Summer Flood is a State disaster rather than a FEMA disaster and said, "the County and townships will be responsible for 25% of the costs." Commissioners asked for further budget detail; Gillespie will coordinate with township officials as damage costs are quantified.
