The Mercer County Board on Tuesday approved November claims of $472,762.36 and accepted the county's 2026 budget following a set of unanimous motions.
Meredith Morrison, a board member, moved to approve the consent agenda, which included general, finance, highway, animal control, economic development, transportation and VAC reports; Chris DeMink seconded and the motion carried 7-0. Later in the meeting the board approved November claims of $472,762.36 (motion by Chris DeMink, second by Gary Gregg, approved 7-0) and an HRA payment of $4,063.13 (motion by Tim Arbet, second by Meredith Morrison, approved 7-0). The board also voted to accept the 2026 budget (motion by Chris DeMink, second by Tim Arbet, approved 7-0) and authorized a $16,550 payment to the County Federal-Aid Matching Tax Fund from the county general account (motion by Tim Arbet, second by Meredith Morrison, approved 7-0).
