The board voted to recess into executive session to discuss confidential matters under the Kansas statute exception allowing consultation with counsel regarding privileged attorney–client matters. Becky Reimer made the motion and Terry Scott seconded; commissioners, County Administrator Kevin Frymire, County Counselor Jantz and other staff attended the executive session. The board returned to open session at 10:26 a.m. after extending the recess earlier in the meeting.
The minutes record the presence of counsel and county staff for the closed discussion; the minutes do not disclose subject-matter details because the statutory exception preserves confidentiality for attorney–client privileged communications.
