Commission amends Road & Bridge CIP to replace aging grader, buy one dump truck this year

He recommended accelerating replacement of the grader this year and purchasing one new dump truck while removing some other planned items to remain within the approved budget.
Commissioner Becky Reimer moved to amend the 2025 CIP for the Road & Bridge Department as presented; Commissioner Terry Scott seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The agenda packet said the previously approved 2025 equipment CIP included two new dump trucks, a flatbed truck and a barricade trailer for a total of $540,000; Meier’s proposal substitutes an earlier grader purchase plus one dump truck to address maintenance and parts risks.
