The Mecklenburg County Planning Commission recorded the following formal actions on May 21, 2026:
- Rezoning, Parcel 10084 (Route 722/Noblin Farm Road at Sawmill Road): Approved to rezone from Agricultural to M-1 for a covered boat and RV storage business. Vote: 8 in favor, 1 opposed (Charles P. Reamy). Motion by Jerome Watson; second by Randy Crocker.
- Special-exception permit, Wilson RV Park (County Tax Number 197000-A-017): Approved to add nine RV sites to an existing park subject to detailed conditions regarding erosion control, bonding, screening, road construction specifications, site sizing and operational rules. Vote: unanimous among present members. Motion by Mark Warren; second by Randy Crocker.
- Approval of minutes from April 16, 2026: Approved unanimously on motion by Charles P. Reamy; second by Derperdine Webster.
Additionally, Zoning Administrator Josh Tanner presented the April 2026 monthly reports for the Zoning and Building Inspector's office. No further action was recorded in the minutes.
