Assistant Landfill Director Lamont Dodd updated the Board on operations at the new Bracey Convenience Center, reporting that the facility is "averaging approximately 250 vehicles per day during the week and more than 350 vehicles per day on weekends." He said site equipment (two compactors, five roll‑offs and 13 open‑top containers) is handling current volumes, though containers reached capacity over the weekend and staff continue to monitor and implement contingency plans.
Supervisors commended the landfill team for rapid implementation and public outreach while noting minor issues with wait times and occasional overflow. Staff said they will continue monitoring volumes and take operational steps as needed to address peak usage.
