After closed session, board accepts timber sale at Fort Barfoot for $197,700

"I would like to make a motion that we accept the high bid, from Brown Forest Products on a tract of timber that the county owns at Fort Barfoot of a $197,700 and giving the legal rights to our administrator, Steve Bowen, to sign the contract on behalf of the county pertaining to this sale of timber," a supervisor stated after the closed-session certification. The county’s forester, Brandon Martin, was named as the county representative to oversee best management practices under the sale documents.
