County Administrator Mundy walked supervisors through the planning commission's capital-improvement request, a $4.4 million package the planning commission recommended for funding. He said the package breaks down as roughly $1.2 million for school-requested items (primarily paving), $1.8 million for an animal shelter, $1.2 million for miscellaneous public-works projects and $208,000 for parks and recreation improvements.
Mundy said staff included IT infrastructure replacements and a PC-replacement schedule (about $21,000 in FY26) and that the county earmarked roughly $2.4 million per year in waste-management receipts for the CIP. He presented an estimated CIP beginning balance of $13.1 million and said, "that should leave around $10,000,000 as an ending balance in the CIP once fiscal year 26 ends," assuming no other changes. Supervisors asked for more detail on specific projects and the board added CIP items to the April 14 workshop agenda.
