Rockledge council approves consent agenda including equipment purchases, sewer and event permits

The Rockledge City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 4 to approve a multi-item consent agenda covering city procurement and event permitting. Councilwoman Tara L. Connor moved to approve the consent business items; Councilwoman Sammie Brown Martin seconded, and the motion passed 7-0.
The consent agenda included: a subscription to DocAccess for website PDF accessibility compliance (City Clerk’s Office); purchase of a 2026 Freightliner garbage packer and claw truck for Public Works; a special event permit for the Space Coast Runners & Running Zone Foundation Marathon and Half‑Marathon scheduled Nov. 22, 2026; sanitary sewer manhole rehabilitation work awarded to Paints & Coatings, Inc.; and lift station wet well rehabilitation also awarded to Paints & Coatings, Inc. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Martin and passed by unanimous vote (7).
Council procedure noted no items were removed from consent for separate discussion. The approvals commit the city to the listed purchases and contracts pending any execution of contract documents by staff.
