Council approves final pay requests for airfield and major road project

Council member Wright moved and the council approved Pay Request No. 2 for Airfield Pavement Maintenance in the amount of $8,176.67, noting the airport pavement maintenance project came in below budget and that the local share (city and county) is approximately $5,000 (90% funded by FHA, 5% state, 5% local split).
The council also approved Pay Application No. 17 for CSAH 38 & CSAH 56 Road Project in the amount of $620,395.56 to C & L Excavating for work through July 26, 2024. Both motions carried with unanimous votes recorded. The council noted punch-list items for the road project (paving/striping/shouldering) and upcoming overseeding in September.
