Resident urges caution on data center rules; county says hearing venue cannot be changed

Administrator Will Johnson later told the board staff cannot relocate the formal Data Center public hearing to a different venue because the county's audio and recording system is fixed to the Commission Room; he said televisions would be set up in hallways if room occupancy reaches capacity. "The tour of the data center in Kansas City still has not been rescheduled," Johnson added as an informational update to commissioners.
The board did not make changes to the hearing schedule at this meeting; public-comment concerns and logistical constraints were noted for future planning.
