Toby Stewart presented Tyler Knight's request to construct and operate a 50-by-176-foot pole-vault training center on a 4.6+/- acre RR parcel at 13819 SW 134th St. Staff reported neighbors and the township raised objections and a valid protest petition was filed; staff recommended the facility meet county codes but noted concerns. Neighboring landowners listed by staff included Kelly Christensen, Troy Zimmerman and Paul Leis.
After discussion of traffic, noise, parking, wastewater and emergency response access, Commissioner Darren Jackson moved to deny Resolution No. 26-29 for the CUP; Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded and the motion to deny carried 4-0.
