Council approves licenses and service contract, tables liquor license and lot sale

At its Sept. 3 meeting the Long Prairie City Council approved purchase and relocation of a new utility payment box to City Hall, confirmed Ian Sanchez's probation completion, approved a Higher Dimensions peddler license for $150 and a Hach Service Partnership for $17,461 through Nov. 2025; the council tabled the El Punto De Sabor liquor license and the proposed lot sale to Dr. Jeff Sauer.
The council moved through several administrative items at the Sept. 3 meeting. Mayor David Wright moved, and the council approved: purchasing a new utility payment box to relocate to City Hall; confirming that Ian Sanchez satisfactorily completed his probationary period at the liquor store; issuing a peddler license to Higher Dimensions for $150; and approving a Hach Service Partnership contract for $17,461 that runs through November 2025.
The council also voted to table consideration of the El Punto De Sabor liquor license until the owners or a representative can attend a meeting to discuss the issue. A separate sales request from Dr. Jeff Sauer to purchase two industrial lots for a veterinary facility was also reviewed but tabled pending additional information; Dr. Sauer was not present due to surgery.
