Grant-approved Riverside Park work planned; council discusses culvert sizing and contractor bids

JoAnn Schroeder told the council Parks & Recreation received a state grant approved at the end of August and that staff and contractors will assess Riverside Park to determine whether two 12-inch or 16-inch culverts are appropriate for two locations.
Schroeder said she, Rita and Kent met with contractors to explain the project scope and that Kent will prepare plans and contact contractors. The goal, weather permitting, is to install the culverts this fall and perform tree removal and topographic work to reduce localized flooding.
