Deputy Administrator Pam Wilson and Housing Supervisor Stacey Mizwinski briefed the commissioners on an application for Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding on July 23. They said the ESG funds would be used to support emergency housing, rapid rehousing and homelessness-prevention services administered by county providers. The minutes record the board adopting Resolution No. 23-07-2026 to file an ESG application for $83,740.92.
The board voted unanimously to adopt the resolution and separately authorized the chairman and chief clerk to sign all documents required for submission to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). The minutes do not detail which local programs would receive awards if the application is successful; the purpose cited in the application is emergency housing services and homelessness prevention.
