The Long Prairie City Council unanimously accepted the city’s 2023 audited financial statements after a presentation by Schlenner Wenner & Company.
Ryan Schmidt of Schlenner Wenner told the council the audit ‘‘went smoothly’’ and that there were no unusual items in recorded transactions. He reported an unmodified (clean) opinion on the schedule of expenditures of federal awards and said no findings were identified regarding compliance or internal control over compliance. Council member Lilah Gripne moved to accept the audited statements; the motion was seconded by Council member Jim Kreemer and passed unanimously.
The audit report is available for public viewing at city hall.
