"So the site will be restored to the pretty dune grass," Gabby Cioppini said, and she estimated that revegetation success will become evident about a year after work finishes. Corps and city staff said they will remove fencing as sections are finished and try to keep areas open to the public when it is safe, but they cautioned that some sections must remain closed during active work.
