Council approves signage amendment for White Dome Apartments with sight-line checks

The council approved Ordinance 2026-026 to amend the White Dome Apartments development plan to permit a larger monument sign on River Road and two additional signs near access points that exceed standard residential sign-height limits.
Planner Brian noted the project was previously approved as a PDR and three of five buildings have certificates of occupancy. Joint Utility Committee review located sign sites but required attention to underground utilities and overhead power-line clearances. Council asked staff to ensure sight-line standards are met given River Road speeds; the motion included a direction that staff confirm line-of-sight distances as part of permit review. Planning commission recommended approval 5-0 with no conditions.
