Saint George council appoints Tiffany LaJoyce as finance director

Tiffany LaJoyce was formally appointed finance director by the Saint George City Council after a motion from Councilmember Natalie Larson and a second from Danielle Larkin.
Mayor and council praised LaJoyce’s work as interim finance director and highlighted her 20 years with the city. The council approved the appointment by unanimous voice vote. Following the vote, LaJoyce said, “I am humbled to accept this permanent assignment, and I look forward to all the great things that we can do together as a city.”
Council members noted LaJoyce’s leadership during recent audits and her role in hosting the Utah Government Finance Officers Association conference in Saint George. The council did not attach conditions to the appointment; LaJoyce said she appreciated the support of executive staff and her colleagues.
