He said the town lacks staff to open a full Red Cross-style shelter and that, in some incidents, the town would instead direct residents to shelters in Bennington or North Adams. The board moved to approve and sign the plan during the meeting; after a motion to sign was seconded, the chair called for a vote and members approved the motion.
The update also included operational notes on outreach and 9-1-1 address verifications, which officials said are being coordinated with the state 9-1-1 coordinator.
