Adams County commissioners approved routine fiscal business during their July 28 meeting, including vendor claims, payroll and a utility payment.
County finance staff presented vendor claims for health insurance and related benefits, noting a Northwind weekly health-insurance claim of $13,130.51 and Allied/Ally claims totaling about $5,002.54. Commissioners moved and approved those claims by voice. The board also approved payroll for the pay period ending July 17 in the amount of $412,008.87 after a staff presentation and a motion by Commissioner Doug (seconded by Stan).
The board voted to pay $37,415.41 in utility charges that staff had listed as paid in the accounting ledger. Commissioners discussed how consulting-fee charges related to potential Baker Tilly work on jail refinancing might be allocated in departmental budgets, and staff said any new consulting costs would likely be charged to the commissioners’ consulting line and flagged for future budget adjustments.
