At the April 13 meeting the council approved transfers under Public Law 54 totaling $21,507.31 across county-general accounts and adopted the transfer ordinance language as read into the record.
Under other county business the council voted 7–0 to close the required meet-and-confer process with the county police department for the year. County Sheriff Nick Smith then requested salary adjustments for patrol officers to align pay with midpoints from a third-party wage study; Councilwoman Holli Castetter moved to approve the increases effective May 1 for the April 5–18 pay period, and the motion passed 7–0. Later the council authorized Chairman Kyle Nix to sign the council attorney contract with Mike Summers for the remaining three quarters of 2026, also on a 7–0 vote.
The meeting adjourned at 8:21 p.m.
