The Cambria Community Services District board adopted Resolution 13‑2026 on April 9 to set water and wastewater standby (availability) charges for fiscal year 2026–27. Staff described the charge as a fixed, mandatory assessment collected on property tax rolls to support maintenance of district infrastructure.
General Manager McElhaney and district counsel explained the charges fund aging infrastructure needs; counsel cited government procurement distinctions for other items discussed earlier. The finance report included projected revenue of about $178,000 for water and approximately $116,000 for wastewater related to the standby charges. Director Thomas thanked staff for providing a clearer financial breakdown in the agenda packet. The board voted by roll call with all members voting aye (Director Thomas: aye; Vice President Dean: aye; Director Scott: aye; President Farmer: aye).
