Union City approves seven Renaissance grants totaling $23,600 to fight blight

Borough Manager Cindy Wells presented seven Renaissance Grant applications totaling $60,606 in project requests and asked council to approve $23,600 in grant awards from available Renaissance funding.
"There is currently $90,547.35 in Renaissance Grant funding available. It is recommended that the seven be approved, based on the fact that these improvements to the properties will help in the fight against blight," Wells said. Councilor Steadman moved to approve the recommended Renaissance grant applications totaling $23,600 for the 2024/2025 grant period; Councilor Osborn seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
