Board awards bids and approves change orders for multiple school construction projects
Summary
Trustees awarded two construction bids and approved several change orders covering Belleview site improvements, Granite Hills High School pool remodel and Santa Fe Elementary classroom work. The Jacob Rankin stadium concession and Porterville High bleacher projects were awarded to GCB1 Inc. dba GC Builders for $232,375 and $785,451 respectively.
At the Feb. 26 meeting, Assistant Superintendent Brad Rohrbach presented multiple facilities items. The board approved Change Orders Nos. 1 and 2 for Belleview Elementary School site improvements and Change Order No. 1 for the Granite Hills High School swimming pool remodel, as well as Change Order No. 5 for the Santa Fe Elementary preschool/TK/Kindergarten classroom project. Motions for each change order carried with all seven trustees voting aye.
The board also awarded Bid #25-039 for the Jacob Rankin Stadium visitor concessions and restroom building to GCB1 Inc. dba GC Builders in the amount of $232,375.00, and Bid #24-002 for the Porterville High School bleacher replacement to GCB1 Inc. dba GC Builders in the amount of $785,451.00, with authorization to execute contract documents. Trustees recorded unanimous approval on procurement items.
