Snyder reported that the county’s share of sales tax for November was down 2.33% compared with the previous November. Year‑to‑date distributions for the county were $30,002,556 compared with $30,334,097 in the prior year, a decline of $331,541 (about 1.09%). Snyder said there was one month of returns remaining and that a strong December could close the gap with budget expectations.
Legislators asked follow‑up questions and thanked Snyder for the update; Snyder said final December figures would be available in the coming weeks.
