Porterville Unified board approves consent agenda, ratifies purchases and personnel actions

The Governing Board of Trustees of Porterville Unified School District approved its consent agenda at the Feb. 26, 2026 regular meeting, ratifying the Purchase Order Report for Feb. 6–20, 2026 and accepting multiple gift donations. The board also approved revised out-of-county field trip requests and accepted a Notice of Completion for a new freezer installed by Student Nutrition Services.
The consent motion, moved by Vice President Tom Velasquez and seconded by Trustee Donna Berry, included Personnel Report No. 13-26 and letters of recognition to retirees Cassandra Gagnon, Porfirio Gonzalez, Jeanette Markman and Rebecca Silvas. The motion carried with all seven members present voting aye.
