After a second reading by Superintendent Nate Nelson, the Porterville Unified School District Governing Board adopted new and revised Governing Board Policies and Administrative Regulations during the April 9 meeting. The vote to adopt was moved by Pete Lara, Jr. and seconded by Tom Velasquez; all seven trustees present voted in favor.
Earlier in the meeting, Assistant Superintendent Andy Bukosky presented the Porterville Educators Association’s revised initial bargaining proposal to the district for public disclosure. The disclosure was recorded in the minutes and received no public comment at the meeting.
