Marcus Amman, Senior Planner, asked the Board to authorize staff to "pursue additional information on adopting a building code, identify a timeline, and request quotes for third-party inspection services while staff is trained." Chair Murken directed Amman to proceed and to return with funding options and specifics for Board consideration.
Staff will gather cost estimates and a proposed timeline and report back to the Board for a future decision on whether to adopt an enforceable building code and how to staff or contract inspections.
