The Story County Board on Jan. 27 approved Resolution #26-47 to dispose of an agricultural building at the Deppe Family Conservation Area.
Mike Cox, Conservation Director, told supervisors the building is no longer suited to site needs and "the building will be sold at auction; only the Board can dispose of the County’s real property." The Board opened and closed a public hearing on the matter at 10:17 a.m. with no public comments, then approved the resolution on a unanimous roll call vote.
The Conservation Department will proceed with the auction and return to the Board with details on sale timing and how proceeds will be applied to necessary construction at the site.
