The Dorset Select Board voted to authorize drafting a pre-development agreement with SM Graves to open a 6–9 month due-diligence phase for a proposed workforce and senior housing project at Raptor Lane. Brian Pine presented the RFP process and White & Burke’s review; Scott Graves and Paul Simon described the schematic and next steps. "The general overview is that SM Graves hopes to work with Dorset to bring much needed workforce and senior housing to the area," the minutes state.
Abutting property owners raised questions about design and impacts: the minutes record comments from Tatsiana and John Clark and from Craig McDonough seeking additional detail. The board approved the move to a pre-development agreement to allow further engineering, planning and public input sessions; Alison Clarke moved and Jim Salsgiver seconded the motion, which passed 4-0. The town plans public and employer feedback meetings during the study period and will contract further engineering work if feasibility is confirmed.
