Council awards 24th Street improvement schedules B and D to GMH Asphalt for $251,365.40

The city engineer reported that three bids were received for the 2024 24th Street Improvement project and recommended moving forward with schedules B (Lemerman Industrial Park) and D (Rockbrook Boulevard improvements). "GMH Asphalt out of Chaska, Minnesota is the low bidder, and for schedules b and d, that total amount is $251,365.40," the engineer said.
Council moved to approve resolution 2024-26 to award the work and then approved resolution 2024-27 to permit execution of the petition-and-waiver agreement for assessments; both measures passed on recorded council votes. The engineer also notified council of a separate storm-sewer failure in the Lemonman Industrial Park and said staff are soliciting quotes for repairs.
