Neodesha fills multiple board seats, reappoints members and accepts one resignation

During the Dec. 18 meeting the commission moved to fill and reappoint multiple board positions. Reappointments included Bruce Thornton (Economic Development Committee, term to Dec. 31, 2029), Jim West (Housing Authority, term to May 31, 2029), Jeremy Carpenter and Mike Porter (Planning & Zoning, terms to Dec. 31, 2028), Marty Kelly and Tyler Pierce (Neodesha Recreation Commission, terms to Dec. 31, 2029), and David Simms and Bill Sexton to the Senior Citizens Board (terms to Dec. 31, 2028). The commission also accepted the resignation of Janie Steele from the WA Rankin Library Board effective Dec. 15, 2025.
All motions to appoint or reappoint were made by Commissioner Truelove and seconded by Mayor Johnson, and each was recorded as carried in the minutes. The record lists terms and expiration dates for each appointment.
