Freeburg public works reports sewer backup and discusses payment for water-system engineering invoices

Public Works Director Chris Remick reported that crews responded to a sewer backup between Edison Street and Cherry Street and resolved the blockage by jetting the line. The board discussed mapping problem areas and the village engineer, Tim Pruett, suggested televising (video) inspections of sections with recurrent issues.
Pruett also updated the board on the water-system upgrades. He said TWM has invoiced for engineering work and that the invoices are awaiting payment; the board discussed funding timing and indicated agreement that payment needs to be made while funding is pending. "TWM is waiting to discuss payment of the engineering invoices," the minutes record, and Serena Pag of TWM discussed what had been invoiced and amounts paid to date.
