The Neodesha Board of Commissioners on Dec. 10 adopted Ordinance No. 1828 to incorporate the "Uniform Public Offense Code" (UPOC), 2025 edition, published by the League of Kansas Municipalities. "Commissioner Banzet moved to approve Ordinance 1828 as presented," the minutes record; Commissioner Truelove seconded and the motion carried.
The ordinance directs that one official copy of the UPOC be stamped "Official Copy as Adopted by Ordinance No. 1828" and filed with the City Clerk for public inspection. Ordinance No. 1807 and any conflicting ordinances are repealed. The regulation concerning barbed wire and above-ground electric fences appears as the city-specific amendment to Article 10, Section 10.13. The ordinance takes effect upon publication in the official city newspaper.
