The ordinance establishes a schedule of penalties (a minimum fine of $10 and a maximum fine of $1,200 for traffic infractions or other traffic offenses where fines are set by the municipal judge), and sets maximum speed limits including 20 mph in business districts, 25 mph in residential districts and specified 20–45 mph limits on segments of U.S. Highway 75. It also defines school-zone hours and lists the streets treated as school zones within city limits.
