Mrs. Hernandez, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, described the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) Memorandum of Understanding for a four-week Family Financial Literacy Program starting April 8 with a graduation for participating parents on April 29, 2026. The program cost of $8,000 will be funded through Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) grant funds and coordinated via the district Parent Center. The board approved the MOU unanimously.
The workshops aim to give families foundational money-management skills and are expected to be open to parents districtwide. Staff said the program will require parents to attend a required number of sessions to graduate and that the district will track participation through the Parent Center.
