Assistant Superintendent Elia R. Sagasta said the grant’s "primary objective ... is to support districts in developing and implementing high-quality, equity-driven K-14 Career Technical Education (CTE) course sequences, programs, and pathways." The motion passed unanimously.
District officials said the funds will be used to strengthen pathways that prepare students for high school CTE programs, college opportunities and early career exploration. The board recommended the agreement with the Central/Mother Lode Regional Consortium to provide the grant funding and oversight; no separate vote count beyond the unanimous approval was recorded.
