Several residents raised concerns that promised parking signs at Ideal Beach had not been posted as previously communicated. Paul Benfer said the signs were to appear by Memorial Day and "that never happened," pressing staff for a timeline on permanent signage and enforcement.
Staff explained that an ordinance change is required for enforceable parking hours, that temporary signs are currently posted, and that a presentation and an ordinance revision will appear on the Aug. 17 docket with adoption planned for the first meeting in September. Staff also said the parks department will coordinate with police on enforcement once the ordinance is adopted.
