The Architectural Review Committee reviewed standards proposed for the Service Commercial Design District and the Industrial Design District on March 5. City Planner Chris Watson walked the committee through each standard and the committee adjusted language where appropriate.
Committee members noted that the Service Commercial and Industrial Design Districts are intended to allow similar zoning uses as the Highway Commercial District but with less restrictive design standards. The committee asked staff to prepare updated standards and to address coordination between design districts and zoning in future materials. No formal adoption took place at the March 5 meeting.
