Gluckstadt committee refines Highway Commercial district standards, plans zoning coordination

The Architectural Review Committee reviewed proposed standards for the Highway Commercial District during its March 5 special call meeting. Committee members and City Planner Chris Watson went through each provided standard and adjusted language and requirements as needed.
Members emphasized that, once district standards are finalized, staff must coordinate Design District boundaries with zoning areas because design districts will not identically match zoning areas. The committee made no final adoption on March 5 and asked staff to return with the updated district standards for further review.
