The Town of Starksboro Development Review Board approved a two‑lot minor subdivision for applicants Donald McCormick III and Amy McCormick during its June 25, 2026 meeting.
Board member Arnell Paquette moved "that the application be accepted as meeting the criteria for a minor subdivision," a motion seconded by Member Rob Liotard and adopted unanimously by the members present. The board then closed the hearing and, in open deliberative session, approved the application on a subsequent motion by Member Tom Perry.
The applicants reviewed the submitted materials and read their project narrative and the Section 426 review‑criteria responses into the record. The board and the applicants discussed whether the access serving the proposed parcels—serving three residences—should be classified as a private road or a private drive; for the purposes of this application the access was presented as a private drive and was found to meet the required setbacks for a lot without road frontage.
Chair Evelyn Boardman read the exhibit list into the record and swore in the applicants before testimony began. The hearing record shows motions to accept the application, to close the hearing, and to approve the application in open deliberation; each motion passed with all members present voting in favor.
