Board awards corporation-yard HVAC contract; work will proceed under existing CEQA clearance

Lake Arrowhead CSD staff recommended awarding the remaining corporation-yard HVAC work (Project No. 253) and the board approved the award at the Oct. 22 meeting. Two bids were received; KMA HVAC and Construction submitted the lowest bid at $27,990. Staff noted the work requires a C-20 license the District does not possess, so the District will contract with a licensed firm.
The fiscal impact was presented as $28,000 for the contract plus a 15% contingency (totaling approximately $38,000). Staff stated the project's modifications were covered by the 2018 CEQA initial study and no additional CEQA action was required. Director Robert Morris moved the award; Vice President Steve Boydston seconded and the board approved the contract by unanimous vote among members present.
